Watertight penetration seal Roxtec Sleev-it™

The Roxtec Sleev-it™ Watertight penetration seal consists of a stainless steel casing containing intumescent material. The material expands to many times its volume when exposed to high temperatures (from approximately 140° C). It creates a pressure, which crushes the softening plastic pipe. A plug of intumescent material fills the seal and closes off the penetration from fire or gas. It has also an additional rubber grommet that is engineered for a wide range of specific pipe sizes. The seal is tested both for water and gas pressure.

Flexible installation

The penetration seal with its fixing flange is inserted into a pre-cut hole in the deck or bulkhead and welded into position. The flange is designed to cover gaps due to unevenly cut holes. The rubber grommet can be fitted in two ways: it can be inserted into the flange opening and the lubricated plastic pipe can be passed through. It can also be placed around the pipe prior to installation and pushed into the gap between the pipe and flange once the plastic pipe is in place.
