High Performance Metal Bellows API 682 / ISO 21049 Stationary Cartridge Seal The 1604 high-temperature high-performance Type C, Arrangement 1, API 682/ISO 21049 qualified cartridge seal is designed for difficult applications where high temperature products are being handled that tend to carbonize when coming into contact with atmosphere. It is also stationary mounted a feature that allows the seal to handle higher shaft speeds. The 1604 has a fixed, floating, or segmented bushing for containing a quench (steam) and a steam guide for effectively routing the steam to the seal faces to help eliminate any coke build-up that could occur when sealing hot hydrocarbons.
